Bio
Katie is a singer/songwriter born and raised in a small town in Virginia. Growing up she was inspired by her Dad’s love of bluegrass and classic country music, picking up the violin at age six and the guitar at age 12. She spent her early 20s in Nashville, TN where a deep appreciation for the art of crafting lyrics and melodies grew. Drawing influence from writers like Patty Griffin and Emmylou Harris, Katie began her journey as a songwriter.
Combining her love of music with her desire to live in a way that brings people face-to-face with the Gospel of Jesus, Katie began taking the scripture she struggled to memorize and turned it into songs. Her acoustic sound invites listeners into an intimate setting to experience the Lord, reminding us of His faithfulness and the hope we find only in His presence. Only You, her debut EP, is a small collection of songs, born out of doubt, faith, and a need for a Savior. It was released in March of 2018 and made the top 50 on the iTunes Christian charts.
Katie is a songwriter, worship leader, singer, and violinist from Seaford, VA. When she isn’t writing, leading or performing, she enjoys spending time with her husband and 3 kids. Katie is a lover of Coke Zero, dark chocolate, new candles, and cozy blankets.
